FISHERMEN WELFARE AND AWARENESS PROGRAM
Fishing occupation is being affected very badly these days. Due to the natural calamities & Global warming, lack of market infrastructure, environmental destruction due to disasters, lack of funds from the Govt, uncertainty in the quality of fishes, the imbalance between demand & supply due to economic crisis & various other factors add to the diminishing of this skilled occupation. In turn, many lives & their dependents (family) who live their livelihood through this occupation are on the verge of destruction, not knowing how to find other ways to make their living.
Our team, at AMMESS are working out a Fishermen welfare & awareness programmes to help & support them in the best possible manner. We are trying to find out alternatives which can help them make up the high operational costs, come up with technological advancements & facilitate good market infrastructure where they can perform well & make up their livelihood.
